CNET has links to download NIS and NAV 2012 in this post.

I like that under "Settings/Real Time Protection/Remove Risks Automatically" I can select "Ask Me". Hopefully this means it will no longer delete my files without asking. If it works as I expect I may keep this full time instead of flip flopping between this and the other 2 products I was using.

This is the fastest nis on this pc I have ever tried, the pc actually seems faster with it installed than with no av, very impressed so far, unzipping browsing opening programs instant, only installed it half an hour ago, but cannot believe how so much program runs so light.

It's not fake - it's the real one from Symantecs servers.

My boot time decreased with 2 seconds after installing NIS 2012. :thumb:

That particular setting is only for SONAR.

    From the help section :

    "Remove Risks Automatically

This option removes all the risks that SONAR detects. By default, Norton Internet Security removes only the high-certainty threats. However, you can configure Norton Internet Security to automatically remove all the threats or notify you.

    Your options are:

    Always

Removes all the threats that SONAR detects.

    High-Certainty Only

Removes all the high-certainty threats that SONAR detects.

    Ask Me

Notifies you when SONAR detects a threat."

Thanks, I suspected the same. That setting is for Sonar, not for auto-protect.

You should not see any toolbars with Norton Antivirus. Norton Safe Web and Identity Safe are not features of Norton Antivirus.
