Norman Free Malware Cleaner

Anyone have any thoughts on the Norman Free Malware cleaner? I currently use SS5 and Malwarebytes Pro-just curious if I'd be wasting my time?

 

It is OK, some false positives when I tested it. PCMag also reviewed it and here is the link.

140 MB file size and no chance to update this monster

 

I guess what I am asking is in your (or anybody who is reading this) opinion, what in the top banana in Malware cleaning tools. I used Norman (and some other things) previously on another machine at Microsoft's direction. I am not an expert, I have a small amount of knowledge which makes me dangerous.

You're already on the right track. It's necessary to use multiple tools because there is no one killer antimalware app that catches everything. "Top Banana" is actually a moving target and is awarded to the app, or apps, that catch the problem you're currently dealing with. Tomorrow the award may go to someone else

 

Better use Emsisoft Emergency Kit (EEK) and Hitman Pro (apart from SAS and MBAM).
