Is there any way to turn enable off and on in the
free version besides rebooting once enabled ?

Can one copy files from returnil system to an external hard drive
in the free version ? Or from the virtual disk once made?

Can bookmarks in any version of Returnil be made to a browser when protective
mode is enabled and still be retained ?

    As far as the FREE version;

    1. NO - ( you need to reboot)
    2. YES - you can save anything & everything to an external drive (or internal drive , basically any OTHER partition or drive, EXCEPT C:\ (system partition)
    3. NO - any changes to system partition C: will be lost

No, 'once enabled' you'd need to reboot to switch protection off

    Yes

I assume so, if you relocate the bookmarks folder to somewhere other than your system drive.

All your questions are addressed in more detail here.

Thanks for the quick responses. One other question. I forgot I had
a bit torrent session when I was checking out Returnil. Assumng
that I downloaded 20 % more of a file after I initiated Returnil
and rebooted before completion of the bit torrent, can I assume that the
20% of the bit torrent file will have to to be redownloaded and more
than likely won't be corrupted? Returnil seems to be a very
impressive program from what I have seen so far.

Hi txgoogoo and welcome to the forums :)

It depends. If the torrent fragment was saved prior to activating System Safe then it should remain following a restart. You should experiment with this to see if this would cause damage as this has not been specifically tested.
