    Hey everyone,

I'm just wondering if the process which controls the GUI for NOD32 is really necessary. Everytime that I've opened up NOD32 to check if it's updated, it has, and I don't need to change settings all the time.

From what I've gathered, NOD32krn.exe is the actual AV itself, which deals with scanning and updates and such (it's what shows up in Sygate during an update).

I'm somewhat of a stickler for resources and performance... if it's one less process that I can run without risking anything, I'd like to do it.

    Thanks in advance.

NOD32kui is not necessary, BUT if you close it, you won't be informed about anything! because NOD32kui shows information about update, worms and so on......
