I have been happy with NOD. But after yesterday, I am not so sure.
I have been playing around with Vista beta 2. NOD32 doesn't work with Vista, yet.
    So I dwn/loaded Avast 4.7.
It picks up on a trojan on first scan.
The same APP has gone undetected by NOD on the other partition.
I guess it could be a false positive?
How would I go about finding out which anti virus program is right?
    Thanks
    B

With as little information as you provided, id be surprised if you get any other response than " What virus was it and what file was detected" ?

spookn, if your Avast moved the file to quarantine also by chance restore it and submit it to sample [at] nod32.com.

You could also scan it on VirusTotal.com. Anyway if that file was a .dll most likely NOD32 didn't detect it because sometimes it doesn't detect .dll related to Trojans being the fact this are not malicious if they have no .exe file related to it. :D
