    Hi,

There are no prices listed on the nod32 website for Eset Smart Security.

I was wondering if anyone could give me an indication of how much extra ESS is (or is likely to be) in comparison to NOD32?

    Thanks

    Adam.

    Hi,

Thanks. When I try and access that page, I get diverted to my local country (Australia).

Australia don't have the prices for ESS yet. I'm just wanting an indicative price on what NOD32 costs compared to ESS in other countries, so I can get an indication as to what it's likely to cost here down under.

Could you please post the price on this board, as I'm unable to access the US site. (It just diverts me to .au)

    Thanks

    Adam.

Current deal in Australia is you get ESS for the price Nod32 (until 15 Jan) http://www.nod32.com.au/purchase/ess_upgrade.html

You can buy from http://www.betterantivirus.com/ even if you live in Australia. I did as the Aust 5 user licence pricing was not competative. Email support is good with betterantivirus, and I suspect if I phoned them (using my VoIP account) that would be fine as well.

I read this of the ESET Australia site:

Can anyone explain to me just how you "actually save money over the free upgrade offer"?

Fairly simple maths the way I see it.

The original upgrade offer allows a free upgrade to ESS for the remainder of your license. At the end of this period, you will have to renew your ESS license at the full ESS price at the time.

The current offer to the 15th Jan allows for the original free upgrade plus extending your license to the end of your next renewal period at the current price of an AV only license.

If you have nearly two years left on AV as I do, you can renew your license now instead of in two years. You renew at the current AV price. This means I get nearly four years of ESS at the current AV price. Pretty awesome really.

Alternatively, you can wait for the upgrade path.

Cool! I think I'll renew now in that case.

    Thanks, mickhardy! :)
