Having problems lately with incoming email message which have large email attachments i.e. 650k+. Both Eudora and Thunderbird 2.0.0.16 have problems with large email attachments. The downloading of the message from pop3 server simply timesout.

When I do the mail check via Eudora on another Win XP Pro SP3 but that has NOD32 v 2.7 installed on it the email comes down ok.

Problem computer is Win XP Pro SP3 fully patched with MS critical updates and NOD 32 v 3:

    Virus signature database: 3541 (20081021)
    Update module: 1024 (20080514)
Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1155 (20081016)
    Advanced heuristics module: 1078 (20081016)
    Archive support module: 1083 (20081016)
    Cleaner module: 1032 (20080724)
    Anti-Stealth support module: 1002 (20080723)

Default settings and I made sure by resetting all the settings back to default via the Advanced setup tree option.

    Hello enduser999,

Do they download properly with EAV disabled? Are you using unencrypted POP3?

    Thank you,

    Richard

Yes to both questions. Seems that it is only one account. Have to do some further investigation as it is not all the time that the problem is occurring.
