I block various file types on my hardware firewall to prevent folks from downloading programs, etc. Can you advise on the following:

    - What protocol NOD uses when doing an update (HTTP/FTP)
    - What domain name or IP range is valid for NOD32 update servers

I tried allowing *.eset.com, but when looking at the update list, some are listed by name (ie; u20.eset.com) and others are listed by IP ...

I want to configure my firewall to allow access to the NOD32 update servers, but without knowing the network range to allow, it's hard to do.

    Thanks,

    James

Some servers are listed by name others by IP. The servers listed by IP are just backup for the case of DNS problems. They all use HTTP for updating.
