    Hello friends,

Just got my new computer week ago and my first action was installing NOD32 AV v4.2.67 (downloaded from Softpedia.com). few days later, i've got notification for a new version, and updated it over the current version.
The installation process was fine, rebooted the system.

now, after the version update process, i noticed there isn't any UPDATE option/module at all.
is it because its the Trial version or something is messed up during the installation!?

Main GUI have only 5 option (1. Protection status
    2. Computer scan
    3. Setup
    4. Tools
    5. Help

Am using Windows 7 Ultimate x86.

    thnx in advance

    common issue => https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=272028

OK, just let you know, running the Repair/Reboot option didn't help!!

Wondering, how come when I'm clicking the right click on the main setup file (eav_nt32_enu.exe) doesn't allow me to run it as Administrator!?

    Hi,

Are you running this on a server? if so are you remotely connected?

if you are using RDP to connect to the machine, from the run prompt try using
MSTSC /admin and connect to the machine.

    Regards,
    Jesus.

Using System Restore might bring back the older build yes. What I suggest would be a better solution as you would have the latest build installed.
    Let us know the outcome.

OK, done what you said. Uninstalled it using the start menu shortcut & rebooted the system.
Still, after rebooting the system, EKRN & EGUI was running in the background (red icon), anyway.. decided to leave them there (manually uninstall is too risky for me).
Installed the AV again, rebooted and now everything seems to me more than FINE now!!! :)

    THNX for your support JesusV!!

Copy and paste back your system information, this will help determine what components may be missing. Please also advise if you are using pre-release updates.

no problem to do that, but I think it won't help us cause the problem solved after my last actions.
let me know if you still want me to paste the info. :)

It would help pasting back your system information, but if your issue is resolved, it is your option.

Yes, because my pre-release component is disabled on purpose.

    Hello,

When you downloaded the last version of ESET NOD32 Antivirus, did you do so from ESET's web site, or from Softpedia's?

I downloaded it from Softpedia, http://www.softpedia.com/get/Antivirus/NOD.shtml
Then I thought, maybe something's wrong with the main setup file from their server so decided to download again from ESET server. both files gave me the same result. even tried to run it from other folder/partition.
anyway, JesusV solution was helpful and everything is working fine now :)
well.. besides the Trial that is going to end soon :argh:
