Nod32 trial update

hi,
I'm currently testing the trial nod32 since 27 september 2006.
1) There are too few updates, the last one is from 29 september 1.1784 and were on 2 october ! . Do they work on weekends ?
2) It is impossible to download updates from a ftp or http without needing nod32 installed.
Kav, Fscure and others AV allow this feature.
This makes me feel not protected. I was able to download database virus signatures every hour with KAV.

 

1) nobody is in the offices during weekends or so i read.

2) this is meant on purpose to deter pirates i think. anyways heres a previous thread about it.

 

This does not mean that we do not work on weekends, not watchich for in-the-wild threats.

 

you have to realise that not being in the office doesn't prevent people from working... this wonderful thing called the "Internet" ... means that you can work from anywhere that has connection to the "Internet" ... It's a bit of a double edged sword, but it's how I process my orders without being in the office, and how Eset staff are able to work also without being "in the office". These days, geographical location has little to do with your abilility to work on office type items, unless it's something like putting more paper into a printer... lol

np wsfuser, just didn't want it to sound like no-one was working... coz we know they are! Critical updates still appear on the weekends - those of us who've been using the software for a period of time will almost certainly have received them..
