    Hi,I'm a bit of an antivirus newbie,and i followed the settings on the website.
    But i noticed after putting these settings in i've got a orange exclamation mark before Antivirus and Antispyware,but before putting these settings in they had two green ticks.
    Is this normal? or should i put the settings back to how it was before with the two green ticks showing.Thanks in advance.o_O

    For normal users the default settings of ESET NOD32 Antivirus are the optimal. I recommend doing the following:

    1. make you sure you have written your license details down;
    2. download the latest version 4.2.71.1 for your language and operating system from the website: http://www.eset.com/download;
    3. uninstall your current ESET NOD32 Antivirus installation, by following these instructions http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2116 (under sub header "Uninstall your existing ESET security product");
    4. run the installer, by following these instructions: http://kb.eset.com/esetkb/index?page=content&id=SOLN2136 (under sub header "Installing ESET NOD32 Antivirus").

    There are other possible solutions, but in my eyes a clean typical installation is a great solution. Also thanks to ESET's quick installer it will take 10 minutes max to follow all the above mentioned instructions.

    Hi Matt,
    Thanks for your reply and info.I followed your instructions and now Nod32 is reinstalled and is set to default settings and i have the two green ticks before Antivirus and Antispyware.
    I suppose it was a classic case of not leaving well alone.
