    Hi,

I've been using NOD32 for ~2 years now and am very satisfied by its performance.

However, since a few weeks (months?) NOD32 notifies me at startup (with a text balloon) that the latest Windows update is not installed, even though I've installed just about everything that's available.

In the attached image, you can see what NOD32 says when I open it (NOD1.gif).
When I click on what's circled, NOD32 turns "green" and I'm taken to the Windows Update site.
By now, I've installed everything that's distantly relevant to my system, as you can see in the second pic (NOD2 - MS Update.jpg); the 3 updates you see in that pic are optional and not relevant to me in any way. But NOD still says the system is not up to date after I restart.
My system specs and the System update notification setting is in pic 3 (NOD3.gif).
    So far I tried:
    - Clearing the windows update cache on my HDD
    - Changing the notification setting (in pic3) to "No updates" and back
    - Reinstalling NOD32

I know I can disable the message alltogether, but that's not what I want. I want NOD32 to notify me when an update is available, but not give me false messages.

Has anyone had this problem before? Any help would be much appreciated.

This started happening to me within the last few days/weeks. siljaline was helpful in explaining how to turn off the notifications, but I suppose the bigger question is why does the notification window pop up for critical updates, only to turn green once you click on the notification box?

    Welcome to Wilders !

I can answer how to disable my ESET security product from notifying me about Windows updates

I cannot detemine why the the dialogue you describe behaves this way, my recommendation is to turn this service off and run Windows Updates either by Automatic Updates or every Patch Tuesday
