    Hello,

I have nod32 version 4.2.71.2 installed on my win7 x64 and have had it for over a year and no problems. But recently I have noticed that nod32 does not auto load on start up and it has completely disappeared from the msconfig/start up menu. It used to be there and when I reinstalled it, it was then until I reinstalled my PC. I have to manually start nod32 every time i start my computer. I have already reinstalled nod32. Windows does not alert me when it is not running. Anyone have a clue why this is happening?

    Hello,

First, I suggest that you run an on-demand scan for any threats/malware.
Make sure that you have the latest ESET virus signature.
See the following ESET knowledgebase article for instructions:
How do I run an On-demand Computer scan?

Also, you may consider using other third-party malware scanners (e.g., Malwarebytes, SuperAntiSpyware, etc.).
ESET offers an Advanced Malware Cleanup Tool here:

Additionally, you can try manually uninstalling ESET and then reinstall with the latest version (v4.2.71.2).
