In AdAware, click Plugins > doubleclick LSP Explorer > Find proxy.dll and rightclick it > select backup.

Then enable Imon and let me know if your connection is still OK.

At least we will have found the problem.

    Regards,

I used it and removed all traces of SPAMfighter listed (after backing them up) and rebooted the computer. I checked to be sure the Interent was working and then enabled IMON and rebooted again. AND IT WORKS!!!

Thank you so much for the suggestion on what to do. I appreciate it.

But now I have no SPAMfighter so I will need to find a program that intigrates into OE like SPAMfighter did. I wonder if I should try installing SPAMfighter again?

It could be that the following order of install does make a difference, but I wouldn't get my hopes up too high.
But it is certainly worth a shot.

Maybe reinstalling SPAMfighter isn't even necessary to find out. Try putting back the backup you made with AdAware.

    Regards,

    Pieter

I just reinstalled SPAMfighter and everything is working fine. I sent a test e-mail to myself and all I noticed was IMON said it scanned 2 messages instead of 1.

    Hi BTJustice,

I have seen that "problem" before with other spamfilters.

At least you can use the ones you want simultaneously. :)

I watched IMON when it checked my e-mail just now and I received the notification of a reply being posted here. The counter went from 2 to 3 so the message counted as 1.

Pieter, I want to thank you for your help on this as I lost a few hairs that I pulled attempting to figuring it out.

    Sincerely,
    BTJustice
