    Hi,

I've had an ongoing issue with a system that will not see USB plug and play drives. Some others in my company say that if the AV is disabled, the problem goes away. Is this a quirk, or is it a known bug? If I reboot with the drives attached, they work fine, but that's not always an option, and obviously I would prefer that p and p work. Thanks for any info.

    Is the service potentially disabled?

No, it occasionally works. It seems to be a problem mainly with Maxtor drives, but some thumb drives work, some don't. No true pattern.

This is a graphics generator built on a PC platform, running XP. Two of our systems have this issue, the rest don't. However, we replaced the whole system today, so it's only a technical curiosity at the moment.
