    I've recently read the e-mail I got about threatSense.Net Top-10 June 2006.

There I've seen the virus radar website collects info from about 10 millions users worldwide. My question is how many users does NOD32 have worldwide?

...of course, if this info is not publically available I understand it.

    Thanks!

As far as I know virus radar only collects information from czech e-mail provider www.seznam.cz.

sorry..perhaps I've been misunderstood. I was reffering to this statement:
these are certainly not only from czech e-mail provider. :)

Hmm I hadn't even noticed that I was contributing. Is it on by default or was I feeling generous one day and turned it on?

I believe that the Virus Radar website collects info from Seznam mail servers who host over 2 million mail accounts. NOD32 checks over 100 emails per second for them.

I understand from the NOD32.ch Newsletter that there are over 10 Million NOD32 users worldwide submitting data via ThreatSense.Net which is around 85% of all NOD32 users at last report.

Notice that in the newsletter it reports that Win32/TrojanDownloader.Swizzor was the top threat but it doesn't feature highly on the Virus-Radar...

    Cheers :)

It isn't on unless you know about it first.

    Cheers :)

You can decide whether to enable or disable ThreatSense during installation, or you can configure it in the NOD32 setup at a later time.

ESET has something about 20 millions users. The number was mentioned in this interview.

    Koľko máte v súčasnosti užívateľov?
Máme vyše 20 miliónov aktívnych užívateľov, teda tých, ktorí si aktualizujú antivírus, nie „mŕtvych“ užívateľov, ktorí si antivírus len niekedy vyskúšali a potom odinštalovali. V počte sú však zarátaní i užívatelia sietí (štatistika sa robí na základe viacerých faktorov) i užívatelia freemailových služieb (5-6 miliónov).

How many NOD32 users do you register in this moment?
We have more than 20 million active users, which means those who actually update their NOD32 - not "dead" users who just tried the AV and then uninstalled it. This number includes also network users (the statistics is done by using various factors) as well as free-mail services users (5-6 millions).

    cheers
