    Hello,

NOD32 for BSD File Servers¹, NOD32 for BSD Mail Servers¹, NOD32 for Linux File Servers and NOD32 for Linux Mail Servers have been updated to v2.52.5. These releases contain the following changes:

NOD32 for BSD and Linux File Servers
    • Fixed bug in nod32d's thread manager.
    • Improved how all of the resident agent modules communicate with the operating system through the nod32d system daemon. Resident agent modules are controlled by the agent_enabled parameters in the main NOD32 configuration file.
    • Implemented action policies based on the results of on-access scanning, e.g., it is now possible to take a variety of actions based on the result of scanning.
    • Unified the logging system used by all of NOD32's modules.
    • Updated the nod32set module to make it easier to modify NOD32's configuration file.
    • The documentation has also been revised with information about new functionality available in NOD32.

NOD32 for BSD and Linux Mail Servers
    • Improved handling of mail headers which have been incorrectly separated from the mail body.
    • Fixed bug in nod32d's thread manager.
    • Improved performance of resident agent modules based on a '1 versus N' (number of threads versus number of client-server connections) model.
The new versions of these programs may be downloaded from the Registered Software section of ESET's web site.

¹NOTE: Updates to NOD32 for BSD Version 4.x have ceased due to insufficient support of the libc.so.4 library used by BSD v4.x. This version of NOD32 will remain on v2.51.x code base for the time being.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
