Great to see NOD32 users have zero hour protection against yet another serious nasty. The linked document for those interested has detailed information. (including screenshots verifying NOD32 detects this threat - one of only a handfull at the time of writing)
    Security Advisory: rootkit.hearse

In other news, computing businesses posting fancy press releases should not only be aware of meta-data in documents such as Word, Excel, etc. but also be more careful with displaying their packet dumps and titles of web sites when the URL is obscured.

Also showing in said press release that various competitors are detecting such a threat, but showing no proof that you do, is not such a great idea! (nor is all the pages being numbered "2")

    must stop being so cynical

That's probably why they marked the document as confidential / not for distribution before they flooded thier outbox with a links to it :D
Seriously though, how can you refer to the third page when they're all numbered 2 and didn't there used to be a table somewhere for converting hexadecimal codes to ASCII

...Whatever it does or doesn't say about the company that produced it, it's an independant verification of NOD32's performance in detecting this threat - that's the only reason I mentioned it here :)
