    Hi,

I have installed NOD32 v4.0.437 64-bit on a Server 2008 x64 SP2, and the Protection Status says "Maximum protection is not ensured: Antivirus Protection Disabled"

Under "Setup", the real-time file system protection is reported as "Non-functional."

I have tried uninstall/reinstall, no change.

The server also runs ESET Remote Admin Server/Console v3.1.1.1. Under Services, I note that "Eset HTTP Server" is set to Manual. I tried to start it, but it hangs at "Starting".

    Any ideas?

    1) go to the advanced nod32 set up tree.
    2) go to UPDATE section
    3) click on ADVANCED
    4) click TEST MODE
    5) run the update again! It will download a large 22 MB or so file
    6) reboot
    7) problem fixed :)

The first time you update EAV, newer program modules will be downloaded which will ensure correct functioning with SP2.

    Thanks for your reply!

But just to be sure: NOD32 v4.0.437 64-bit version is the correct version to use on this server, right?

Technically it is, yes, though lots of people are having problems with V4. It's worth a try, and if you then get lockups then uninstall and revert to 3.0.687.
