I'm running trial version of NOD32, with all 'extra settings' as recommended by Blackspear.

Initial loading of Thief program and scenes is severely slowed with AMON running. With AMON disabled, program and scene loading is fast.

Not a problem when running Doom3.

This is not a major problem - I can just disable net access and disable AMON while playing Thief - but I'd like to learn how best to solve this problem without lowering security. Can I use an 'exclusion'?

    Thanks for your help.

Hi Gud4u, welcome to Wilders, yes you can exclude the file that is causing the problem, under AMON> Setup> Exclusions TAB

    Hope this helps...

    Cheers :D

    That fixed it:
Excluded directory \Programs\Thief - Deadly Shadows in AMON.

Program and scenes now load very quickly with AMON resident and running with all other settings unmodified.

Thanks, Blackspear - I really appreciate your help!
