I was surprised, when surfing the web my NOD32 antivirus pop-up a dialog that controls program connecting the net. o_O

Is this an included part of its latest update base definition or in its core engine module after it was updated yesterday? coz this was the first time I saw this kind of alert...controlling program connecting the web.

I hope it didn't act similar to firewall, pop-ups that annoys me...this and that. Asking like we are undergoing an I.Q. test. :p and also, will not become heavy and making our pc sluggish. I know the importance of having a firewall but I have an alternative solutions to make this thing unnecessary.

A firewall blocks ports. What you're seeing is http/https scanning. When you enable the https scanning functionality, the AV software basically becomes a proxy for all https sessions, so that's where you see the alert from about invalid or unsigned certificate sources instead of the OS/browser.
