Nod virus definition update 5419 causing problems

    Our all XP SP3 machines are freezing now(network connectictivity freezing first) after today's latest virus definitions updates. Running Nod Antivirus 4.2.40(virus definition 5419).We had to disable all realtime protection on all XP computers to function.Vista users are still OK. Did anybody experience this problem? Any ideas? Thanks.

    Thank you for alerting me. o_O My Windows 7 also froze twice yesterday which is unusual. I had to switch off the power supply forcefully to restart the system which has become totally unresponsive.

    Not sure if it is related to this 5419 virus definition update.:oops:

    Note : Just saw this https://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=281038. Now I am sure it is due to this update. My system froze once updating to 5417/8 and another time updating to 5419. It is mentioned here that it will froze once only after updating to 5419.

    This is the 1st experience I had of a ESET virus update failure.
