Avast just included a webshield which scan HTTP in their Beta Release.
Just wonder, how is it compare to NOD IMON HTTP Scanner?

    Thanks.

Hi mJbOoN, as this is not a Nod32 support issue I have moved your thread to here where is should receive better attention.

    Cheers :D

On first reponse it seems that Avast HTTP mon doesn't slow down web page browsing like NOD32 imon.

Yup,i noticed the same. It also doesn't have any (known) compatibility issues with webpages (like NOD32 with High efficiency/compatibility modes) or streaming media.
Page rendering is delayed by few miliseconds so most of the time you won't even notice Web Shield is checking all HTTP requests. I also haven't noticed any problems with viewing or rendering pages.
Very interesting feature and as for now much better than IMON imo.

I haven't noticed any slowdown or incompatible viewing web pages at all, Web Shield is really fast and provides real-time HTTP scanning to fight against content threats without imposing unacceptable delay. avast! is getting better and better !!! :)

would it be possible to post a screenie from the block url tab and the advanced tab?

also the tab where the settings regarding the heuristics and stuff are.

I would appreciate it a lot.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think avast! uses heuristic methods(except for email scanning). Don't they use generic signatures of some sort instead?

    Never encountered that with NOD32.

No slowdown for me using the NOD IMON HTTP scanner on a 3Mb/256 cable connection. I also like the fact that NOD's HTTP scanner uses their Advance heuristics.
