Hey guys, i am running E-Smith SME 6.0 server, a redhat based linux server.

Which is the best NOD to download for this type of linux.
i have previously used the basic Nod for Linux, but i believe there is a better one, just which one is it?

    Thanks.

I plead ignorance on Linux. There are downloads on the Eset site for Redhat.
Have you tried any of them?

I guess if I were in your position, I would test with eicar or such. If that will work in a linux scenario.
Interesting question and hopefully, the person with the knowledge will see this exchange and be able to give you the right answer.

yeah well im not a full linux guru, i just know bits and pieces.
What my issue is any way, is that the local shire here are getting emails back from people saying the they are recieving virus's via email from them, and the shire workers can't be doing it as the emails have been noted being sent at 4 in the morning etc. So i see it as being somehow the mail open relay is open, or someone is just sending viruses to people with the shire's email address's.

They are running a internet gateway/mail server on E-Smith SME 6.0 server.

    thanks

well i have just been onsite and told the customer that it was what you said in that link, which sounded right anyway due to other people around the place have had the same thing and thats also what we told them.
But i installed NOd for linux and updated it successfully.
    hope all goes well,
