nod 32 and outlook 2007

    hi all,

    i have outlook 2007 and have just installed nod 32 peer to peer registered version of nod 32 on my laptop.

    I now cant access email as my service provider says my antivirus is blocking my access to the server. i am also running mcafees but had no problems until installing nod 32 (great program by the way)

    can anyone help me

    Hello!

    Make sure you have uninstalled any other antiviris software (including your McAfee) .

    After McAfee's uninstalltion , please run their special removal tool:

    Perform Winsock repair:
    Repair Winsock
    Windows XP SP2 and Windows Vista

    Goto Start –> Run
    type cmd and click OK.
    Type netsh winsock reset
    Press ENTER . Restart immediately !

    N.B. ! There is a space between the commands , example netshSPACEwinsockSPACEreset
    N.B. ! If you use Windows Vista , you must first run cmd as Administrator .



    Check your firewall settings.


    By the way , it is less likely to be NOD32 blocking any email.
