    The lowest I have seen Windows 8 Pro for is $39.99
    There are a lot of caveates when buying this OS.
    You have to download an assistant to get Windows 8 Pro.
    Then what happens in 6 months when you have to
    reinstall from scratch Windows 8?
    To get the Windows 8 pro version 64-bit, it is an upgrade and
    you must have a prior Windows version to get it.

    Where did you all see the $14.99 version and what version
    of Windows 8 was that. I bet it is the home version.

    $39.99 is certainly better than the ridiculous $200 versions
    of the past. Back in the days of DOS amd Windows 3.1
    an upgrade could be purchased for about $30.
    Neweggs prices are way out of line.
    Let me know if I am wrong Please.

    If you bought a Windows 7 computer you could upgrade to Windows 8 Pro for £14.99.

    " You must purchase a qualifying Windows 7 PC between 2 June 2012 and 31 January 2013 to be eligible for this offer"

    Thanks you for replying Blackcat.

    I meet all the requirements for this upgrade BUT,
    they play games with the promotional code.
    They want me to pay the full amount and ask for the
    Promotional code at the same time which I don't have.

    So how do I get the promotional code before going to the
    pay out pageo_Oo_O??

    This is what was sent to me in an email;

    So given the above you should be good to go. The promotional code/reference ID should have been sent to you when you initially apply for the offer. It was sent to me with the email above.

    I would check this page out for support;

    where you can select your country.

    Once you run the upgrade assistant you get a choice to create an iso file which you can burn to disc as well as keep a copy on your harddrive so if you ever need to reinstall you just use the disc and make sure you write down the product key which will also be needed in the event of a reinstall.
