Whenever I boot or install different distros of Linux, I can't get the ethernet to work. I've tried Mint, Ubuntu, Zorin. Older versions of Mint 19, still the same. I've heard that it's a kernel problem. I should install a later kernel version. But this I don't know how to do, install a kernel in offline mode.

My mobo has a Intel I225-v adapter.

Do you think if I bought an aftermarket network card, I could get Mint to work?

    My Setup

    AMD Ryzen 7 3800x
    ASUS Rog B550 F MB
    G.Skill ram
