    Hi,

my Build 800 of TI8 does not show an ipod mini (Windows) as a disk. I can transfer files otherwise from within XP and iTunes does also work. How can I have TI recognize it as a disk?

    Hello Hans,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

Could you please describe in which way your IPOD is recognized under Windows? Is it a hard drive or removable device? The problem is that Acronis True Image is unable to create images and restore images to removable drives. If it is recognized as a hard disk please plug it to the computer and create Acronis Report in the way described at Acronis Help Post. After that please send the report to support@acronis.com along with the link to this thread. We will certainly help you with the solution.

    Thank you.

    Hello Hans,

I am afraid the way ipod is detected is determined in Microsoft rather than in Acronis. I mean that Acronis True Image access the ipod (and all other devices) through Windows but not directly. If the device is recognized as removable under Windows Acronis True Image will recognize it as removable as well.

    Thank you.

Hans, I would be interested if you could try this and report back if it worked:

    1) Insert the iPod.
    2) Select the iPod-drive, right-click, select properties, and share it with write-access enabled.
    3) Start True Image, and locate the shared iPod in the Computers Near Me... folder.
