    Looking for a little help.
I have had NAV/NIS 2005 for some time working well.
Got an update and an "activation key" (activate what?: already on and running) the other day. D/l'd and restatrted etc.
Had to go away for a couple of days and on return OE will not connect.
Get the, "Server time out Error 0x800ccc19" message.
Googled around a bit, contacted ISP reconfirmed e-mail accounts, checked all NIS settings, removed the OE permissions, re-enabled msimn.exe in the firewall and still no luck.
Turned NPF off and >>> e-mail's flooded in with scanning by NAV and AVG.

Re-booted and re-jigged NIS/NPF again still no luck unless NPF off.
    Bugger.

    Any suggestions?
Must say, after many happy years with Norton/Symantec some of the gloss is rubbing off. Box seems ever slower every time Symantec updates.

Also seem to be having more and more problems with FF unfortunately.
Often takes several attempts to get to pages, difficulties getting images to show... Have not upgraded past 1.0 yet.

Might be time for big review.
    Regards.

    Hi Longboard,

May I ask a question (maybe not related to your question):
Do I understand you right that NAV and AVG are running at the same time resident?

    Hey, FJ
    Yes. Never had a problem.
Using AVG free and NAV for e-mail resident/real time scanning.
Have AVG free as on access.
Have NAV for real time scanner.
    Started that when using IE.

Occassionally have multiple pop-up warning messages.
LOL, if NAV has caught one AVG often tells me it is stuck in NAV and Vice versa.
    Probably a lot of overlap..!!
    Possibly not entirely rational.
Does not seem to cause any slow downs.

I possibly have too many layers...
    Regards
