    Hi,

I have installed NIS 2008 on my laptop.

I want to know, what are the Processes of NIS 2008, so I can have an idea of memory consumption also.

Please tell me know the processes name in "Windows Task Manager" of NIS 08.

I have a pic of the processes I keep handy. When Norton's Self-Protection is on, the processes usually doesn't have an owner (user name) so they are easy to spot.

[sorry about not answering the other thing but I haven't used KIS 7 so I cannot comment on the differences between it and NIS. I also do not have WiFi so I cannot comment on it as well. Just try it a while and see how it works for you]

If you want to know true memory consumption, there is only one way to find out. Check free ram before you install NIS, and then again after. Just looking at Task Manager or similar is misleading...

There may be more that shows up during updating or scanning but these 4 are the processes when the computer is "idle".

    Hi,

I have 512 MB RAM, is it enough for NIS 2008 on laptop ?

    or need more RAM ?

Booting is fast, but normal speed is little bit slow. I have run full scan also.

any idea to improve speed with NIS 08 or any setting in NIS 08 ??

I spent 24 hrs with NIS 08, but not found any improvement in speed, so uninstall it. I will try it some another day.
