NHL 2005 and Battlefield1942 freeze!!!!, both games freeze in the middle.....help

Hi guys;

I play NHL 2005 and Battlefied 1942 (online) games often. But lately I have been getting few problems with both games as they both tend to freeze (both at different positions). I have tried updating my Display drivers and even prevrious drivers. nothing helped. Now, I am running Omega ATI drivers and both games still freeze.........Both games are updated with latest patches. I have turned off Fast Write off and VCPU recover for Display driver.

AMD Athlon XP Pro 2100+
SOLTEK SL-KT400 MOBO
SAMSUNG 512 2700 DDR333 (2X 256DDR) Memory
ATI RADEON 8500LE 64MB DDR video card
80GB hard drive (30GB free)
Zone Alarm Pro 5.5.062 Security
Kaspersky Anti-Virus Personal 5.0.121 antivirus
I am running Shaw Cable High Speed Internet


I haven't installed anything new on my computer, just Kaspersky and Zone Alarm. However, problem was there before these two programs.

Do I need to update my CPU, motherboard, and Memory BIOS? Which I don't know where to find them? and How to update them?

Any suggestions will be helpfull................... Thank You guys.
