I gather the new 826 build supports the NF4 fully?

I would like to switch from using the SiI RAID to the NF4 raid controller.

I plan to backup what I have on my RAID array (using the SiI controller) to a single non-raid HD (SATA), switch the raid controller, and then restore from the SATA back to the new RAID array (Raid 0).

I sort of did this before, and with the earlier build, was unable to boot to the NF4 raid to restore. Now that DI 826 suppports this, should a new bootable CD allow me to start the new raid ok?

What do I need to do to make sure this works properly?

(I realize the differences in the raid controller mean I might have a problem. When I did this before, I got around the reboot problem by doing a Windows XP reinstall to repair WinXP and got it working ok; I had had to boot off the SATA HD, non raid, using the image from the RAID system, which had a few hiccups...)

    Hello mramsden,

Thank you for choosing Acronis Disk Backup Software.

We regret to inform you that current build of Acronis True Image doesn't support NVRAID. However, the next build will work with RAID on NForce4 normally.

Please be aware that we do not guarantee that you will be able to boot the image of the hard drive on Silicon RAID controller from the NForce RAID controller. The problem may be fixed using Windows Repair installation though sometimes it doesn't work.

    Thank you.

Thank you... that's great news. Any idea when the next build will be out? Is it possible to be notified when it's posted?

    Thanks for the prompt reply...

    ..Mike
