    Hi

I am a new user, and I can't understand the interent filtering rules...
I want to open a UDP port for EMULE, lets say port 4000.

Now I made a new rule and configured it like that:
    Untitled-1.gif

It's on to top of the list, but there are rules that follow that one, and block
the UDP ports, like the rule to "block all other UDP packets" and "block all other
    packets".

So when I test the port (by pushing the button in emule options) I see that
the UDP port 4000 is closed!

How do I make these rules work?

    Hello olina,

And welcome to the LnS forums. I found this link which will help you to set up EMULE:

    - TCP - eDonkey - Client
    - TCP - eDonkey - Server
    - UDP - emlue - Servers list

And you can download it here:

    http://www.looknstop.com/En/rules/rules.htm#emule

And import the emule.rie file into your LnS ruleset.

Also you might want to have a look at this thread to get a better understanding of where to place rules and why?,Please see this link below:

also for Kush's link to emule rules; it has no rule(s) for KAD.

You need to change the destination TCP/UDP port to all. Some prefer to set it to a range from 1024-65535.

If that still doesn't work, you should look at any blocking rules you may have in your ruleset, and change them as necessary.
