    Wow, this is a lot like Chinese efforts. Crowd sourcing, I mean. Also reminds me of East Germany :(

    I do see how it'd be attractive to neighborhoods with lots of crime. The problem is that drug crimes are arguably bogus. And already disproportionately affect blacks. Who predominate in Newark.

    Edit: Some years ago, I did spend a night in a loft unit, in an old warehouse, in a not-so-great neighborhood in Newark. It sounded like people were having fun out there. Cars and crowds and stuff. Loud music. But being a white boy, and an illegal alien, I was afraid to go outside :(

    Who would spend all day staring at a street cam monitor just in case a crime happens?

    Hmmm yeah but wouldn't it be more fun to take a 400mw laser diode out of a DVD burner and build your own anti surveillance camera weapon.:shifty:
