That's right, it's still going strong! The new version has these updates :- Changes 1.2.8.8 to 1.2.8.9 1) Rid MJRW of the shackles of supporting 640 by 480 screens (a thing of the past), and improved the layout. 2) Secure email support now uses modern ciphers and transport, with a certificate valid until 2030. 3) Loading a customisation file for the first time, that didn't previously exist, no longer hangs MJRW for several seconds. 4) Coloured background of each panel to make it easier on the eye. Wow @Graphic Equaliser - Welcome Back!! There is such a HUGE EMPTY HOLE of ANY registry monitors any longer. Have you decided at all at some point to remove polling and add a driver for INSTANT ALERTING?
It seems like a long absence from here by me and I'm glad to be back. There's still a good buzz in this forum. Thank you for your kind words, Easter. I still use MJRW on a few PCs, both at home and in the office. I find it a useful as a window on computer background noise, and as an automatic registry backup tool. As regards your "driver" idea, the trigger for a file change, starts a polling sweep, and doesn't actively do anything else. Drivers will not improve the speed of such a mechanism. This sounds like a project for you, Easter, to brush up your C++ skills. Let me know of any bugs, niggles or features you'd like sorting
Kind of you also @Graphic Equaliser to respond so quickly, and better yet, in sharing your very latest release MJSoft Registry Watcher. I took the liberty to briefly test her out. I like what you've done. What i did was really drop the microseconds counter down where it amazingly raised common alerts (of safe actions i must add). I want to soon really dig into it so to set additional Custom Settings to personal preferences, and inform of any bugs of course. But you do have the basics all in place as far as i could tell. Wow @Graphic Equaliser - we go WAY BACK in Wilder's Security Forums and IT IS EXCITING to see you post again!
