    Hello,

    I have done a new update :
    http://www.firewallleaktester.com/news.htm

I would like to have your opinion (good or bad) about this update.
If you have any suggestion, post it here.

One time someone here said "if you look at this firewall having a lower score than this other firewall, it handles more leaktests globally so it is not that bad" and since I was thinking to a way to showing this.
Also, some people wanted to see KAH/KIS tested, but I had troubles with old rules on my website, that I have simply removed ,and KIS is now included.

I hope you will like this update.

    Regards,
    gkweb.

Thanks gkweb for the updates, much appreciate all the hard work
you put into performing these leak tests, and testing all of these
firewalls, as it has helped me make more a more informed decision
as to my selection of a software firewall.

    Regards,

    Wake

Great work, gk. Looks like I'll be switching firewalls. I was getting bored with the one I currently run, anyway.

Too bad Jetico is such a pain to set up. I'll probably move to one of the silver award winners.

Thanks again for this update. Your work is appreciated.

Regarding KIS - I am not sure I agree with the premise that if it warns and asks permission/block this only gives half a point.
I see that DNS is shown as fail but if DNS caching is disabled as recommended during the install process it passes.

Good to see an update and congratulations on the hard work GKWeb. I would request though that you note whether a firewall can be configured to block a test, even if it does not pass "out of the box" (DNSTester being the prime example here since a tight configuration on most firewalls will detect it). I'd also suggest adding Outpost Free to your list for next time - if only to make it clear to users that this is a very different product from the full version, and maybe shame Agnitum into either updating or withdrawing it. ;)

that would be a good idea, and perhaps an additional test using pahnt0m ruleset for looknstop.

and thanx gkweb for the update. keep up the great work!

Maybe, Sunbelt Kerio limited free version can also be added and let's see where it will be located in the ranking results. :cautious:

Since Sygate is still the very much used and also appearing 3rd behind ZA and Kerio in dslreports firewall poll, I would expect you including it in your tests?
And as Paranoid2000 wished for Outpost, I wish to see too differences in Pro and Free versions tested.

Not that I am so interested in leaktests, running Avast webshield proxy that degrades my outbound program control with SPF, but still curious :p
