    .1.0.7.8 + Aranea Live Update
Uninstall any previous version before installing your new version.

Before running any Spyware/Adware scanners, we recommend you check your "Add/Remove Programs" in the Windows Control Panel, and manually uninstall Spyware/Adware softwares that support this option. You can then run Aranea Spywizard to make sure that all files were deleted and that your Registry database was cleaned for any "forgotten" removals. Aranea Spywizard will also remove Spyware/Adware softwares that does not support uninstall.

    What is Aranea Spywizard?

Aranea Spywizard is a little handy tool that will instantly clean your system if your OS (Operating System) is infected with Spyware, Adware or Backdoor Trojans.

The tool is developed to help you get rid of annoying Dialers, Popups, Toolbars, Window Hooks, Internet Worms and Hacker Tools that may have been silently installed on your computer without your knowledge.

This Software scans your entire system in less than a second - how? Because it know's exactly what it is searching for, and will delete everything related to infections/intrusions instantly. So you do not have to worry about scanning for the next hour when using Aranea. One click - One second and your computer is as ready as new.

The software is Freeware, however donations are always very helpfull to increase our fight against spyware/adware, keeping your operating system clean at all times.

How do I use Aranea Spywizard?

Once you have completed the installation, go to your Desktop and doubleclick on Aranea Spywizard. First do a check for updates by clicking Live Update. This will update Aranea's Registry and File scanner (updates are already available, keeping your computer safe from the latest attacks).

Go to your Preferences and setup Aranea Spywizard to launch any of the available options.

    he options are:

    1. Delete Spyware/Adware/Trojan Directories instantly (if checked, it will delete folders installed by vendors. Recovery not possible).

    2. Display report when done (if checked, it will show you a detailed report of what Aranea Spywizard has been performing).

    3. Play warning sound if infection is found (if checked, you can be notified by sound if an infection/intrusion was found).

    4. Enable autoscan (Will scan your system every entered X minutes).

    5. Automatically recover my Internet Explorer settings (if checked, Aranea will recover your Internet Explorer settings, setting your start page to the entered information in option 6).

    6. Default Start page (Sets the Start Page of Internet Explorer to the entered information).

    7. Close to system tray (Aranea will run in the background if checked. Should be checked if you are using autoscan).

Now that you have set your Preferences you are now ready to scan your system. Click the Start scan button to start. Aranea will begin its scan for known infections/intrusions (this action will automatically remove any calls in your Registry that leads to spyware known by Aranea). Once Aranea has completed the scan, a list of known registry entries will be displayed as Checked (this does not mean that these items were found).

If Aranea Quarantines any files, they will be renamed and moved to your Quarantined folder, making them completely harmless (Quarantined folder is selected in your Preferences). If your system was infected by one or more files and Aranea Quarantined these files, reboot your system so that any changes made will take affect.

We recommend you check your Aranea Live Update frequently, to keep your computer clean from future Spyware/Adware/Trojan softwares.

Use this Windows 95/98/2000/XP Technical area if you need our support with other Windows related issues.
Attach your Aranea Spywizard System Report with your topic, if you need help with optimization.
