I just use www.startpage.com. It does everything Google does, except without the spying.

So, tried the HTTP version. It does give results for all keywords I threw at it. Somehow it resembles Google so much (hmmm...), only thing is Wikipedia results tend to not appear as top results. Trust issue aside, this search engine (at least for the regular version) is usable. Me? Nah, I hate the double indexing layout. :D

ixquick - Choose Your Server To Search

In light of the controversy of PRISM that can be linked to the U.S Government, some users may prefer to search
on servers specifically outside the U.S. or their own country.

By default Ixquick will connect you to the closest servers allowing for the shortest connection times.

Selecting another option may add some additional connection time.

Note that all connections to all servers – no matter where they are located – use High Quality Encryption with HTTPS to avoid snooping of the content of your searches by third parties.

    server choices:

    • closest / fastest
    • non-U.S servers
    • non-EU servers

    https://ixquick.com/eng/server-select.html

NOTE: Didn't notice this setting before so probably new.
