Really like the features but why does it need dotnet?

    Can this be turned off?

agreed kinda sucks. i am now using pdf xchange also and really like it. if they get some things ironed out with the new nitro i think it could be pretty sweet though

im personally loving this reader, no ads like in foxit and a much cleaner UI, very light weight with quick loading as well and a feature set that u will rarely find in a free PDF reader. overall id say this is a keeper for sure and ill def be replacing foxit with this.

but compared to foxit im seeing WAY WAY MORE mem usage with this.. for the same pdf that i get 12mb in foxit when open i get over 60mb with nitro!!!!

im also trying out pdf x change but even that is way heavier than foxit and has just a mess of a interface imo

You can thank .NET Frame for that. ;)

altho id prefer if it didnt use that much RAM, it doesnt really make any difference whatsoever for me, im not running a game as im reading a PDF so with my browser open and a pdf it honestly doesnt make any difference for me, plus its not a program ur constantly running in realtime, u read a pdf, u close it, thats the only times it will really be open.

i also dont like how a file does not open full screen like in foxit or others. it opens really small and i have to zoom in causing it to distort in many cases. with pdfx or foxit they do not do this. also i dont like the black backround i would prefer it to be white imo or even a light grey. one other things i notice is nitro installed some kind of driver on the system i have not had time to see what exactly its for yet.

okay as a example of its rendering:

right files are from foxit left is nitro pdfxchange matches almost perfectly foxit. these were the same size taken from the same laptop, i want to like it i really do but at this point i cant use this as my main pdf program

sorry, correct the pics on the right are from foxit the pics on the left are from nitro both of the same exact pdf and both at the same size and taken with the reader at full screen

then why do u mention pdfxchange as well? that is a different product u know? and from what i see in those pics, the 2nd bike is more pixalated, and the 2nd logo is also more pixalated, so depending what u meant by the right ones (as in the way we read, left to right, would mean that the more pixalated ones are actually from foxit) or the bike and logo on the right half is foxit, and the bike and logo stacked on top of each other on the left half is nitro then it still seems the bike is more pixalated in foxit again but the logo is not in this scenario.

okay sorry they are showing up different on my screen. the more pixelated ones are from NITRO not foxit. and pdfxchange basically matches the way the foxit ones look those are the better looking ones

Have been using it as my default reader for years as I got their editor... to me, so long as it can read my eBook, any brand is ok for me.... and depend on what you want in a reader.

So before I started a thread about this I figured I search. Sure enough I found this. I was on their site and find this pretty amazing for free. I have no issues with pdfxchange but come on, drag'n drop, fill forms etc. Any more observations out there before I download it? Thank You!
