Since the April 20, 2009 release of bulld .424, so far I see 3:

Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1212 (20090428 )

    Archive support module: 1094 (20090428 )

    Personal firewall module: 1046 (20090429)

Is everybody getting these module updates? Or just people using "Test Mode"?

I think somebody may have already answered my next question. I need to ask it again because I still don't understand.

What is the difference between the module updates described above and the Program Component Updates as described during the installation of ESS and in the Advanced Setup>Update>Advanced update setup section?

I don't use Test mode and I have these in v4

Antivirus and antispyware scanner module: 1212 (20090428 )

    Archive support module: 1094 (20090428 )

The firewall one 1046 is for the "beta" testers only with Test mode enabled , I suspect

    Hello,

Modules are the "EM0??_??.DAT" files that exist in the "%ProgramFiles%\ESET\ESET Smart Security\" directory. If you open the user interface and select Help→About from the main menu bar, the version information displayed is for them in the Installed Components: section.

A Program Component Update (PCU) means updating to additional parts of the software, such as the program files, libraries, drivers and other objects that make up the program.

    Regards,

    Aryeh Goretsky
