I installed a new MB yesterday, GigaByte B360M D3H. Win10 installed easily but needed LAN drivers before I could access the internet. Linux Mint is a problem. Both the install media and the installed Mint Cinnamon 18.3 have this message, "Running in software rendering mode". In addition Mint can't see my Intel network card or a USB wireless card. So no internet.

    Any easy fix?

I'd try the latest Ubuntu (18.04 LTS) or derivative to see how it goes.
Mint 19 will be based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS. (and feature the new Cinnamon 3.8 release)

    fblais,

Excellent suggestion, thanks. Ubuntu 18.04 installed. There is no error message about "Running in software rendering mode". Wired and wireless networking works.

Great, so Linux Mint 19 should work flawlessly for you when it's out.
Just read this on the Mint blog:

I just installed Kubuntu 18.04. It works as well. I'm waiting for Mint 19 and I'll probably delete the other Linux OS.

My present multi-boot is interesting. 3 Win10 and 3 Linux. None of the Linux boots are preceded by a Grub menu screen.
