that is new there?
The new german version is build 3.715.
In that version it isn't possible to make a backup of
Files and Folders.
The program terminates without any error-message.
Sorry, but the Build is ****.

Because of permanent problems with corrupt images by TI
I've changed the program for "real datas".

I can't find a TI9 build 3.715 on Acronis Site

Right so - I opened a problem at acronis germany
Same problem, downloaded TI Home V9 build #3694 from 2006-08-11, got build #3715 and program terminates without any msg(s) when I try to backup folders and files.
And there was silence ...
Doesn't Acronis notice the problems with the new build?
I've opened a Support ticket but haven't got any feedback 'til now. As soon as I'll get any feedback I'll post it to this forum.
Called local Acronis Support hotline number 0900 1113777 a couple of times but no one picked up the phone.
downloaded TI Home V9 build #3694 from 2006-08-14, got build #3715 and program terminates without any msg(s) when I try to backup folders and files.
No one answers emails nor phone.
This is very annoying.
Got through hotline agent. Both "problems" were known a.) getting build 3715 instead of 3694 and b.) exiting backup folders and files without any msg(s). They try to reproduce the problem and we can expect a solution within a new/next build soon (original terminology " perhaps by the end of this week = CW33").

Can confirm both errors (last build is 3.715 and not as shown 3.694 & no possibility to do file-backups). Even more, if you verify a valid file-backup (done with 3.641), it shows a corrupt backup. Verifying it with the old version shows no error. The problem with the file-backup (and verify) is not only in the windows version but also on the rescue media created with version 3.715.
So after I installed 3694 or 3715 or whatever, when I try to launch TI, I get a message saying "No valid license no found - please reinstall the product".
This is not the first time, that an upgrade of TI-Build doesn't work as it should. Either you have to uninstall/reinstall because of the code or it doesn't update all files. I'm really asking me, why Acronis can't get it to work to make an update available, which successfully installs over a previous build and keeps the license code. This isn't a big thing, so please...
Also the quality control has much space for improvement - please check the build/updates before putting them online.
I'm sure, if I uninstall/reinstall it, i will get the same problem as others that file backup will not work.
This is really annoying and frustrating.

no, this wouldn't be a problem,
but they actually announded this as a feature !
i guess You should just 'forget' about this build,
and wait for the fixed one...
if this however should also fail to execute the most basic actions

haven't posted a single word regarding build 3694/3715 !?
(imho) at least a simple confirmation of the problem would be quite nice...
4 days ago I opened a problem about that - no answer 'til today.
If Acronis has a lot of work to fix the problems, it should be really no problem to notic all of us.
Not notifying customers is common software vendor practice (... like in the automobile industry). The problem seems to be not severe enough for a common notification. Severity/priority definition is always an internal discussion/negotiation between the different departments like R&D (Research & Developement), Customer Support etc. All who are working for a software vendor know what I'm talking about ... be patient. I've made my backout to TI Home V9 build 3641.

we are not talking about a software that still contains some
inofficially known, small bugs,
regarding the shown build number 3715 and the fact
that this TI has some totally new errors that have not occured
in any other recent previous builds during most basic backup operations
tells us they simply released the wrong file !
imho it's a shame this shitty version still
can be download from the acronis website !
users not reading the forum will probably despair
when trying serious work with it !
I don't try to find excuses for Acronis. Basically what I expect from Acronis is a customer notification on their website a n d to remove the link to the that buggy and wrong build.
In general You ARE absolutely right,
software companies don't like to announce that their product terribly failed...
but unlike most of them acronis used to offer a rather good support:
- a lot of free updates which notonly fix bugs but also add new features !
(their was no dvd support, when i bought TI)
- usually (rather) fast email support
- great forum with alotof helpful advices (not only from users !)
but this time they really messed it up,
hope this won't repeat with one of the english versions, too...
After one week - no reaction, no response to this thread from Acronis. Great job!
Until now nothing have changed on the German update server.
