    I'm gonna keep it. I'm not going to use it but it helps me keep track of which browser I have open.

    I nearly never use any other browser unless I need to login to a couple of sites that don't work well with Temporary Containers extension, so my Task Bar gives me enough of a clue.

    I have no use for it. I thought this syncs tabs with the mobile version? Or what am I missing here?

    Something like that. I don't browse on a phone though. Too many popups and ads that make it not worth the effort.

    Firefox (for Android, but not Firefox Focus) does have a limited number of extensions ported from desktop version. uBlock Origin is one of them.

    Thanks, I may look into that at some point. As I am within arm's reach of a desktop or laptop PC most of the time I am awake I'll probably ultimately be too lazy to do anything about it. The built in Google apps would still be a problem but I don't want to drag this off topic.

    a bit annoying the the advertised themes.

    the "colorful" -> about:config -> browser.theme.colorway-closet <- false

    For the other "monochromatic" themes section below you need userContent.css
    Code:
    @-moz-document url-prefix(chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/extensions.xul),
    url-prefix(about:addons),
    url-prefix(chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/aboutaddons.html),
    url-prefix(chrome://mozapps/content/extensions/aboutaddons.xhtml)
    {
        addon-list.monochromatic-addon-list
        {
            display: none !important;
        }
    }
    i think the second section is shown when colorway is off, from searchfox
    https://searchfox.org/mozilla-central/source/toolkit/mozapps/extensions/content/aboutaddons.js

    What do you mean, Brummelchen? Do you mean something specific with the bold C in userChrome.css?
    And what do you mean with "is part of"?
    Yes, as I wrote, the two pages offer userChrome.css code suggestions.
    Perhaps we meant the same thing, but we didn't understand what the other meant.

    Er .. I know about userChrome.css.
    I said userChrome.css in my post, and gave the Reddit and Mozilla URLs that mentioned the code to disable 'List all tabs'.
    I thought how to use userChrome.css code was discussed earlier and anyone could find the info with a simple web search.
    But of course it's nice that you offered info about userChrome.css.
    Again, I guess perhaps we didn't understand what the other meant to say, as often, but that's OK.

    Anyone notice the newly added Start Menu entry?

    I don't want my browser digging its claws any deeper into Windows.

    For those who don't want to use css workaround (as I) there is also a preference to disable tabmanger in about:config. It's called browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled. You set it to false and restart Firefox.
    At the moment IDK if this setting disables other functionalities also.

    Thanks very much, Minimalist,
    I think it's good to use a regular setting if available or an about:config setting, rather than userChrome.css, especially if one never had the need to use userChrome.css before.
    Regarding 'List all tabs', does that always show in Firefox 106, or with fewer tabs open than before?
    And is browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled set to true in Firefox 106?
    I am still on Firefox 105 (Kubuntu update for Firefox is always later) and 'List all tabs' doesn't show even with quite a lot of tabs open, and browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled is set false by default.
    Did that change as per Firefox 106? That isn't clear to me.

    Edit:
    Looking at some news articles, I see 'List all tabs' always showing in Firefox 106, while it was not in previous versions.
    It wasn't mentioned in the release notes, nor in any article that I read (only in the screenshots).
    Anyhow, if 'List all tabs' can be disabled by setting browser.tabs.tabmanager.enabled --> false, that's not so bad.
    Thanks again, Minimalist. :thumb:

    it was meant that some content, eg about:addons has to be set into userContent and some other like alltabs button into userChrome.

    userContent is special for pages, about are pages, not firefox UI. firefox UI belongs to userChrome.

    firefox 106 announces more themes in theme list, switching off shows the old section - i dont want both.
