Mozilla seem determined to alienate and antagonise their user base. I accept that they aren't interested in the thoughts of the man on the Clapham omnibus, although he probably runs Chrome and is very happy.

I think Mozilla are out of their minds, and also possibly out of their faces and most probably off their trolleys.

It is annoying when these sort of cosmetic changes seemingly are pushed, just on a whim.
But generally I find I get used to these pretty quickly (or not notice), and Firefox remains my preferred browser due to its security and privacy improvements.

Annoying? Explain please. From my view some details become more visible, but functionality is same.

There's absolutely no customization in Brave. I'd rather use Vivaldi, where the user can change things how they want to rather than use a one-size-fits-all browser.

    Yes, that's a distinct possibility.

I won't use that either. I liked Opera (Presto), where things could be altered to fit the users' preferences. I guess I still have that mentality.

meh, you can only make cosmetic changes. can't modify security/privacy settings, only a handful of them maybe. so i'd rather use brave than vivaldi.

chrome://settings and vivaldi://settings still exist in it. It's not quite as robust as about:config but better than nothing, and when you factor in m3 and the consmetic features.... vivaldi > Brave.

Yeah, I liked Opera Presto. For me, Vivaldi runs perfectly on macOS, it's replacing Firefox on Ubuntu that's the problem. Vivaldi is a little glitchy on Ubuntu. Has Google implemented M3 yet? Chrome runs fine for me and so does uBO. Although I'm also seriously considering going back to Iron, which I used before Chrome.

M3 is a vivaldi product, not Chrome. It's only integrated in Vivaldi.

I think that started in Chrome 88, with extension starting to use it in 1/2021.
