Dear Mat SMI, yes if you uninstall 3.0 you will have the guard for 2 weeks free trial in 3.5. But like Chew I have disabled the realtime guard because even though Ewido have reduced the memory it needs to run by about 20%, it still sucks up quite a bit of memory--about 17mb. But the main reason why i disabled it is becuase it added about 40 seconds to my boot up time.
But its all about what each person wants ........the increased bootup time may not be an issue for you. Apart from that I think its great, better than 3.0 IMO.
    regards Gordon

    Dear Mr. Fish,

Does Ewido 3.5 detect eblaster 5.0?

I suspect that my husband put it on my computer, and it irritates me to no end. The following is an email that was sent to him that he inadvertantly left open.... that and other things have led me to believe I'm bugged.

Obviously, our marriage is not doing well, and I plan to leave soon.

But at least I'd like to express my thoughts to my family without him tapping into my private expressions.

    Thank you,

    Linda J.

Commercial rootkit keyloggers .. Ewido will take care of this.

it's a commercial trojan, which should be detected by every respectable antimalware product.

    Hi Linda

Sorry about yoor marriage, you can remove it manually if you know your way around Windows how to (maybe a pc knowledgeable friend/colleage (trusted) ;) can help), but you may as well try Ewido (free the first 14 days, just uninstall if you're not satisfied) and i would also try the free online scans in my signature (believe Panda among others detects this one). :)

Funny: when installing you get the License Agreement... and you have to say yes or no to using Ewido version 2.1 ;)

    Something to update, I think.

    Cool! ;)

Great new version by the way! A fast scan, but a good one. And no more fp's so it looks. Time to push Ewido forwards again....

Can you update 3.0 to 3.5 by using the update feature in the program or do you need to do a clean install?

Yes, you can do the update from 3.0 to 3.5 just by using the normal update process.
