I'm starting to think that in the absence of any known issues I may just stick with the recent version I'm using (which has proven itself more than once).

Yes. But only temporarily while running SNAPSHOD0.sys is created in temp folder.

Thats ok, cause this is normal behaviour of M$ Windows. It remembers also past drivers (and marks them as hidden). For example you will also see ghosted entries in device manager for all USB devices you ever plugged in.

You can remove ghosted items from Device Manager like this. For example, if you have a ghosted network adapter...

    1. Open a command prompt
2.Type set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices=1, and then press Enter.
3.Type Start DEVMGMT.MSC, and then press Enter.
4.Click View, and then click Show Hidden Devices.
    5.Expand the Network Adapters tree.
6.Right-click the dimmed network adapter, and then click Uninstall.

I haven't been updating regularly in the last few months. I tend to stick with a version which I know has worked successfully.

Thus far I haven't seen any real difference in speed or performance though I'm sure that some of the changes are more meaningful than just changing the test period for those using trial downloads.

I agree with Blues. I do upgrade - but not regularly...would help if we *knew* what was added or fixed, then I might regularly.

Fwiw, I was informed that the latest build addressed some compatibility issues. It has been performing quite well for me!

It sure would be nice to know what those issues are.

For example, I installed an image last night back to my current setup in my sig.
(Webroot didn't work out as I had hoped.)

It took about 10 or 12 minutes to restore. (And about 4 1/2 minutes to create a new differential image this morning.)

My guess is that the "new" changes probably aren't for XP users like myself...but I hate to have to guess.

Bottom line is that I'm hesitant to move away from something I already know is working as it should.

This is why a change log would be so useful to those of us who have plunked down the money for the app.
