Has anyone done a comparison with the old AHM to see how much more effective the new AHM is ?

ie. how much better is it ?

    Hi,
I scanned my collection using the new module without database and it detect a lot more. It detected new trojans and worm that the old module doesn't detected.

I notice the difference too...for example, after the improvement nod detected a security program i use to have long time ago like a new virus based upon heuristics...then this bugg was fixed...but it just shows that now heuristics are much more aggresive, and sometimes may result as false positive.

    :D

I don't have NOD32 currently installed so I couldn't say what version it is. It's just that Marco mentioned about a month ago that a new improved Heuristics module had been released.

I was curious as to how much better it actually is ?

    Hi,

I have just bought Nod32 and love it :)

The advanced Heuristics work very well. Does it work on the same principle as Norman's Sandbox technology?

I have set my Nod32 to use advanced Heuristics in the IMON and on demand settings and use normal heuristics in the AMON scanner.

    Cheers

I recommend to you enable AH in AMON too. It doesn't have any slowdown to your machine.

    Thanks!

I have just switched on AH in AMON. You are right there does not seem to be much/any slow down so far.

    Cheers
