Eight days ago replaced, failed Asus router, with Netgear nighthawk R8000P. Two days later, TV say's no 'ethernet' connection. Device not seen, router devices. Unplug all ethernet, replug, router see's ethernet as wired, on 9/1 Tv again says no ethernet. At router unplug Tv's cable, & insert ehternet cable, & laptop. That laptop failed to connect, to the same port, the TV used.

Should have mentioned new cables tried no help

Enter netgear support, they claimed "WIFI", was causing ethernet on the TV to drop out randomly. Changed channels from 'auto' to specific channel numbers, changed, mtu value.

updated firmware, now the TV works.

It's hard for me see how WIFI, could cause, ethernet to fail, is was that a valid or reasonable solution?

    Thanks
