Not for me, for a friend: he never updates the .NET Framework v. 4.5 on his system. Last February MS released in Windows Updates the version 4.6.1.: could he upgrade directly from 4.5 to 4.6.1 without install the 4.5 old updates ?
Perhaps the following article helps you to understand a bit more about M$'s .NET Framework versions and how it handles them, you know lifecycles for its products: https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/do...ending-for-the-net-framework-4-4-5-and-4-5-1/
Thank you. If I understood, my friend should anyway make the security updates for v. 4.5. It's not my problem: i keep 4.5 version only because I uninstalled .NET Framework in my old pc and then when I needed it I have issues to reinstall: it seems not possibile to do a real, complete and clean uninstall. So I only update the version the I have.
Yeah, your friend should update appllying patches released until before January 12, 2016. Next upgrade to 4.6.1 if he likes to.
