Need SO much help! Can't even start comp

Hey everybody,

I have a serious issue. I was on the internet when my browser kept shutting down automatically. Then an ad for an antivirus program came up telling me i was infected with spyware. Then my computer froze. I restarted and my background was a blue screen with a message saying an error has occured somewhere. I think it's in a file, and the file has the word Trojan in it. It tells me that windows cannot function normally and to check for spyware/viruses. Then a message appears saying explorer is not working properly. I don't even do anything, and my desktop would just turn blue then try to start up again. Each time, the message would tell me that explorer is not working properly and is being shut down. I tried starting up in safe mode, but even that doesn't work. PLEASE, can anybody help me? I"m using the other computer to type this.

Just a guess, but if this is Trojan-smitfraud you will have to read through these posts. Solutions are given in the threads but it is best to work systematically through them and see if this is what you've got.
